The authors introduce the principle of laser diffraction method by which the sarcomere length of singlelive striation muscle fiber can be measured accurately and conviently, and give the measuring results of thesarcomere lengths in the relaxed states and its changes of single live frog muscle fibers before and after pas-sive stretches.
